Runners Update:
Packet pickup is now on Friday at the Ear, Nose and Throat office from 7:00am - 1:00pm and on Saturday at the registration tent from 7:00am - 7:45am.
There will be warming stations at registration with heaters prior to and during the race. Please dress appropriate for the weather to keep warm and dry.
You may drop a race bag off at the starting line with any items you do not want to carry with you on the run. You MUST have your name on the bag! Volunteers will collect bagged items when the race starts. You will then be able to pick up the bag at the registration tent when you get done running. Run The Burg and its volunteers will not be held responsible for lost items in your bag. If you leave jackets or gloves at the drink stations along the way, the volunteers will bring them back to the registration tent at the end of the race.
This year, we are encouraging runners to go PINK again. For any race participants who wear pink, the sponsor will make a $5 donation in their name to help fight breast cancer. Help us find a cure and aid in research to fight this disease.
There are numerous drink stations with both water and gatorade. We will also have some of the stations with energy gels along the course for you too. Post-race snacks and fruit along with drinks again will be at the finish line waiting for you. Restrooms will be dispersed along the course.
There will be only 1 start time at 8:05am for all 3 events. No waiting in the cold this way!
SEE YOU AT THE STARTING LINE!
Volunteers Update:
All volunteers will need to report to the volunteer tent by 7:30am the morning of the race. Please sign in for your charity that you want to represent. You will then receive your volunteer T-shirt and additional instructions of where to go.
If you have a Team leader for your organization, they may inform their volunteers of what station you will be covering. Each organization will need to assign 2 people to be in charge of picking up the tables and drink coolers along with cups and gels. These will be at the downtown courthouse at registration and will need to be brought back when the race is finished please.
Please dress for the weather.
There will be restroom facilities throughout the course.
Please be familiar with the course and direct the runners where to turn or go next.
Most of all: Be a motivator and encourage all the runners as they progress through the course and HAVE FUN.
